Alexandre Fernandes

Alexandre Fernandes is currently the Country Director for Klarna in Spain & Portugal. He started his adventure at Klarna in Spain, accelerating Klarna’s business and evolving the go-to market strategy. His role quickly shifted to launching Portugal and most recently managing the business in both Spain and Portugal, two of the key growth markets for Klarna in the coming years . He aims to elevate the shopping experience in Spain & Portugal, while accompanying hundreds of local brands in their e-commerce journey, bringing value to merchants and consumers alike.Prior to Klarna, Alexandre has held different positions in commercial structures in large groups as Iberia/British Airways and Amadeus, making him an expert in e-commerce, payments, consumer trends and travel.Alexandre has a degree in Business from ISCTE Business School (Lisbon) with a specialisation in Commercial Management from ESIC Business & Marketing School (Madrid). He’s fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
